June 22, 2011 Twilight Concert in the Park
Our first 2011 Concert in the Park on June 22 was a resounding success. This year there was no rain!!!. We were entertained by the Etobicoke Concert Band.

July 27, 2011 Twilight Concert in the Park
An estimated 400 people enjoyed fine weather and the Scarborough Pipe Band and Etobicoke Concert Band on July 27 at our third Concert in the Park for 2011. For more pictures, click here

Despite the rain, the Toronto All-Stars Big Band managed to squeeze in a few sets at our fourth 2011 Twilight Concert in the Park.

Applewood Scholarships Update

Applewood has proudly supported two scholarship funds at local colleges in Toronto. To date, almost $7,500 in scholarships has been awarded to well deserving students at Humber College and Woodsworth College at the University of Toronto.

Woodsworth College Scholarship - Set up originally in 2001, this fund has an endowment of $10,000 and provides an annual award to a Woodsworth College student who has completed first year with a grade average of 3.5 or better.

Grace M. Procunier /Applewood Scholarship - This endowment fund was set up originally in 2004 with the support of long time Applewood volunteer Grace Procunier and The James Shaver Woodsworth Homestead Foundation. This endowment has since grown to $30,000 and provides an annual award to a student enrolled in Humber College’s School of Applied Technology who has demonstrated high academic achievement, and has demonstrated community involvement through community service or volunteerism.
